10 Days Until Disney!

It’s that time of the year for us again!!

In 10 days we will be making the drive to Florida for a yearly Disney Trip! We’re all pretty excited. I am a tiny bit nervous though, for two reasons.

One this is the first vacation we’re taking with Norah, she’ll be four months when we go.

Two, this is the first vacation I’ve taken while trying to go vegan.

So, if you have advice, I’ll take it. Cause this mama is going to be a nervous wreck!

I thought it would be fun for you guys to do a Disney countdown with us. Ten days of ideas and advice. What to eat and what to see. I would love to hear any tips on travelling with a baby and a first grader.

For today, I am just going to tell you guys a little bit about how our Florida trips usually pan out.

We usually head to Florida for about a week, every year around spring break time. We either rent on big van or two cars, and make the drive down from Georgia. It takes us about 6 1/2 hours most of the time. We usually only have to stop once, especially if we leave during the night when Karli is asleep. I’m hoping this trick will work for Norah too. I’m worried because she hates being in the car seat. So we will see.

When we get to Orlando, we usually stop and get breakfast. IHOPs are all over the place in Orlando, so most of that time that’s where we go. If you have another suggestion I’m all ears! After we eat we check in to our condo. Then we do all of our unpacking and settling in. The first day we usually don’t do anything. Karli will want to do everything the second we get there ha, but mom and dad are old, and we need to recover from the drive. That day we usually go grocery shopping for food for the week to get it over with. I don’t care if I’m grocery shopping in Georgia, Florida, or the Bahamas, I will always hate it lol.

After all of that’s done, we rest for the remainder of the day. The next day is when the fun starts 🙂

Here is a little slide show of just a few pictures from one of our previous trips to Florida. Please let me know of any tips you have! Also, let me know if any of you are traveling with kiddies this spring break! I want to hear all about it!
